Mediawan
Projected by EAT Studio.
Mediawan is a French media conglomerate that started out back in 2015 and since then has grown into one of the leading European studios of premium audiovisual content. The studio brings together some of the best talent ir audiovisual creation to offer a breadth of services that make it a standout in the industry. From drama to cinematography to animation, all the way through to digital publishing. They're credited with over 50 production labels in France, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Finland and Senegal and are ready to expand their B2B relationships.
Mediawan wanted a new visual identity to feature new colors and graphic elements without touching the existing logo. The challenge became clear pretty quickly. How can we make changes without weakening the iconic graphic element of the logo? What new colors, textures, templates, and elements work best for this brand refresh that envisions a timeless yet trendy and cool identity? The design had to be built to last, work across different verticals, and be something all their associates could use.
We created a sophisticated yet cool brand by carefully crafting the visual elements that sit around the established logo. In the new visual identity, Mediawan's brand primarily embraces a black-and-white color palette, symbolizing the brand's timeless quality. Complementing these monochromatic tones are the accent colors Khaki and Light Beige, which serve as striking, impactful secondary colors.
Mediawan's iconography is inspired by the director's camera viewfinder reflecting the art of cinema production and the brand's creative heritage while keeping the minimalist approach. For typography, we landed on SangBlue Kingdom by Swiss Typefaces as a refined Serif font, It's various weights and stvles offer creative flexibility and enhance typographic impact in diverse design projects
